It's Time For Another Product Review!

Well ya'll know by now that I'm a product junkie. I've tried them all! From department store to drug store. But my favorite products to write about are usually drug store products that surprise me. I also usually try to find a department store version that it's similar to. Anyway, on to the product review!
If you like Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, retail value- $59.00:
Try Revlon Photo Ready Makeup:
Ok girls, this is a great drugstore foundation.
Lets start with the pros: It's sheer, but buildable and comes in a great bottle with a pump. It leaves your skin with a dewy finish and covers really well without looking cakey. Super blendable and covers most imperfections. It gave an overall healthy appearance to my skin. I pair this with my Make-Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder for an airbrushed finish. It has SPF 20. And it costs under $15.

What kind of a product reviewer would I be if I didn't give some cons though: The color choices are lacking. This is usually the problem with drugstore foundations. I also wouldn't recommend this for someone with oily skin because it does have light reflecting particles that give you that dewy finish. It could leave someone with oily skin looking even more oily.

Would I buy it again? Yes, but before this runs out I will probably be on to the next foundation! I can't seem to settle down with just one.

So has anyone tried this foundation? Love it or hate it?

Hope everyone had a good hump day! We're over halfway to the weekend now!
I was waiting for my sis to post these on her blog since we did these activities because her hubby was in town... But I'm tired of waiting and not having anything to post on my own blog... So... Sorry Chib! You can still post them. Not all the same people read our blogs anyways. :)
So a couple of weeks ago we went to the ZOO! It was so much fun! I love going. Plus, it was a GORGEOUS day!
I am pretty proud of myself for some of the pictures I took. Trust me... it was NOT easy.
I have such cute nieces.
Peacock
Don't know why, but I love this.
Love the reflection! Then you can see him(her?) at all angles!
The Lynx!
Tiger! Probably the hardest picture to get... Seriously. Not only was it super far away but I was back about 20 people standing on my tip toes with my arms stretched as high as I could get them... And I'm not tall in any sense of the word.
The kids. :) Love them. Look at Lydia. Hardly staying on but keeping her perfect photo face up.
I LOVE this picture! This is Asia. Lydia's choice from the Zoo gift shop.
Classic family photo. Hahahaha!
Then last week we took a trip to Moab! It's been SO long since I've been. So glad we went because it was a BLAST!
These pics are at the old mining cabins in the middle of nowhere! No joke.
One of the cabins.
The Wind Caves!
Now THIS is a great family photo!
Everyone except me. Downside to being behind the lense. Oh well, I like my job. :)
My dad outside of the Wind Caves.
View from the Dinosaur track hill. Can you say AMAZING?? I love where we live. :)
That's all I'll post. Leave at least a little for Chib. Haha! Hope you're all doing well!!

Blogging, Gem & a Giveaway!

Hey guys, good to know there are some fellow 'Gleeks' among you lot! So tonight I had a rummage through my archives in an attempt to streamline my labels/categories. Oh my word. I have blogged some ridiculous shiz. What a cringe fest some most of it is. This is why I haven't kept a diary since I was 16 - I just can't bare rereading the cheese I scribble down. And crumbs, you'd be forgiven for thinking I have multiple personalities having read through that lot! My mom has often told me I should write like I do in my emails and perhaps I should give that a go. I think it's so cool when bloggers sound like they do in real life and I want to try and write more like I speak. But then again, I speak differently depending on who I'm talking to. Over-analysing! What about you guys? Did your blogging voice/writing style come naturally to you or is it something that's evolved over time? While we're on the topic of 'writing styles,' let me steer you in the direction of a blog which has become one my daily must-reads! Gem writes Gem Fatale's Style Blog, which is filled with cool outfit posts and excellent tips. Gem is British and she writes exactly like she speaks in her videos. I just love her dry, English wit! In fact, it was Gem who inspired me to preen the blog with her latest blogging tips. Oh and incase you missed it, I'm having a cool giveaway especially for my British and European readers this week. Pop over to this post to stand a chance of winning a 50 quid shopping voucher to spend online at Daniel Footwear. Not to shabby, eh? Enter now and say hi to Gem!

Proper technique + Proper maintenance = Hair that lasts a long time and looks great too!

Here are some pictures of Maleeka with her 18' medium curl Fijian (full head) weave. Alicia, our new stylist, did a fantastic job on this weave, as you can see. With the Miss MyMy method of weaving hair, notice how natural the hair looks. If you look at the picture taken from the back, you can see that even if the wind blows, no one will see your tracks. You know what I mean ;-) I've included some pics of Maleeka with her hair pinned up so you can see the weave from a few different angles. Just gorgeous!!!

And for you folks who think that buying cheaper low quality hair that you can only use once is a better "deal", think about this: Maleeka has had this hair for over 18 months. See how great the hair still looks. With proper maintenance, Miss MyMy hair is a wise investment that you're sure to be happy with. Just ask Maleeka! Lookin' good girl...

Trend setting with Roller setting!

People are always wondering how do you get those natural deep waves that last all day like the Kardashian's without having to recurl your hair every day?

Remember back to your younger simpler days... every time we had our own hair done  we'd go to bed with rollers? And no matter what we did we had volume for the whole day the next day.....well, if we apply this method to our hair extensions not only does it look full and flowy but something about roller setting makes 'weaves' look a little bit more natural.

We are aware of how uncomfortable they are so instead of rollers we can try using the bendable rods and before you go to bed, just:
Roller setting does a little bit more than hot curling...and takes your look throughout the day....try it and change your hair...change your life!
