New Year's Eve

I used to LOVE New Year's Eve when I was younger. My friends and I would traditionally jump in my parent's pool at the stroke of midnight while blasting the Macarena. Eeesh! But since everyone has been scattered around the world over the past few years, I've tended to do low-key NY's. I found out that Nads usually also does something chilled but she suggested we just lower our grand NYE expectations and go out for drinks like we would any other night. After I had repackaged my thinking, I was like, 'Yes, let's do this!' So we went to a bar called Amsterdam and it was the most loltastic night ever. We had bought glitter canons and sparklers which I think the crowd appreciated! Trust us bloggers to bring props to the bar. Nadia - thank you for encouraging me to go out and an extra special thanks for bouncing about to Audioslave and Metallica with me - was totally epic!

Giselle's 30th Birthday Tea Party - continued!

A few more pics from Giselle's 30th Birthday Party. As you can see, there were plenty of pretties to peruse! I've spent a glorious evening in bed watching the final season of SATC - can you believe I'd never seen the ending? It was epic! Hitting the hay now to hopefully sleep away this cold. x

Giselle's 30th Birthday Tea Party

Giselle is another new friend I've made through blogging. She emailed me, gosh, probably about a year ago and asked if I'd like to pop round to her mom's house to see her collection of Christmas decorations and vintage dolls. To be honest, I was a little surprised that a total stranger would invite me over, haha! Due to a ridic schedule, I've only just been able to visit Giselle's mom's home. And WOAH. I have never in my life seen so many dolls and decorations! We were celebrating Giselle's 30th birthday and she threw the most amazing tea party! Nadia and I planted ourselves beside a pile of pastries and chatted away over pink punch all afternoon. Giselle is a total dahl and I'm so glad to have gotten to know her - even if mostly online. Thanks for having us Giselle. It was a fab!

A sunday afternoon

I've been a busy bee workwise lately so I haven't really had a chance to photograph anything pretty for the blog. Any spare time has been spent mooching about in my PJ's, eating roast dinners and watching E Channel marathons. Ha, that really is as good as it sounds! On Sunday I took a trip with my folks to see my grandparents - here's a little glimpse.

Blueberry snack on the way up. Gotta balance out of the roast spuds.
Photobucket
Opening up a birthday prezzie from Bobby. It's so cool - will show you soon!
Photobucket
And a pamper hamper from Laura - just what I need! Thanks Laura.
Photobucket
My gran has so many awesome tins and things. And literally everything is labelled!
EXCEPT the carton of milk which turned out to be red juice. That was nearly a cuppa ruined.
Photobucket
Nice cake plate gransie.
Photobucket
Obligatory, pointless mirror shot.

Which results in looks like this. My little lamb. Hope you had nice Sundays too. x

PS: Blog comments are working again - wooo! Cheers Disqus for sorting it so quick.

Market Day!

Yesterday,  I was stationed behind Nadia's Cupcake Couture stand at the I Heart Market. I had such a fab day noshing on waffles and catching up with friends - and meeting some blog readers for the first time! Pictured below are goodies from Cupcake Couture, Hey Cherry and a lovely new vintage stand but I've forgotten the name. Also pictured are Nads, Mel, Pippa and Moi! x
