I love fall. And since yesterday was GORGEOUS i decided to try my hand at some more photography. Im not sure I have a talent, but I am sure that nature was absolutely perfect for me yesterday. Here are some of my favorites:

If you're dying to see pictures of my trip (I know you are! jk) You'll have to wait a little longer. Unfortunately I have very few from our trip, I let the other girls do most of the picture taking, so I have to wait until I can get them from them.

most of these chill-inducing pictures courtesy of Vintage Photo. i have found myself once again in a horizontal state, i blame germy transit system and touching my face all the time. i need one of those cone collars so i can't reach my face while in public. i'm determined to make this a productive sickness and will be attempting my first knit hat (to disastrous results no doubt. one time i made my brother a scarf for christmas which he promptly misplaced and knit himself a new one with two stripes more than the first and in much better condition. out-knitted by my own brother and on something as simple as a scarf. hm.) i hope you are all in better health and are enjoying all fall's glories! pumpkin spiced coffee, wooly coats, leather gloves, stockings, and smokey air. mmm. what are your halloween costume plans? my costumes are never very inspired having gone in the past as a "deer cat", cardboard box with metallica written on it (was beavis and butthead but ended up just being the metallica box set by the end of the night), a pippi longstocking pickle and a nothing - you can see halloween dress-up is not a strong point for me, but this year i'm determined! inspire me with your brilliant costumes!

After reading a ridiculous article in the otherwise reputable Newsweek criticizing Angelina Jolie for not keeping her daughter's hair pulled back or in cornrows. Sunny's would like to declare that the look we love most of all is a young girl wearing her natural hair as it is. Free of chemicals and tight styles that cause small traction Alopecia bumps along the hairline. Any look that empowers girls to realize that while hair is the ultimate accessory....it doesn't define you!

turkeys in the graveyard

september in pictures. landon and john (one half of our glorious three week house companions) went out to get bread one night for our family dinner and came back with a wolf that had been given to them (on loan) by a very generous artist up the street. he has since been returned (much to my relief - i did not like his menacing red eyes).

Women New Hair

Straight hair will shine more that curly or wavy hair because of light reflection. For maximum shine apply straightening balm before blow drying for super sleek looks. When you are blow drying use a nozzle attachment to direct the airflow down the hair from root to tip. This helps to flatten the cuticle scales and add shine. If you have course or frizzy hair, use a big, round thermo brush that has a metal barrel that heats up during the drying process. This heat is then used to style your hair, just like straighteners would

There are wide range of creams, serums and sprays available to add instant shine. Gloss is great for this. Smooth or scrunch it into the hair to tame flyaway ends and give a fantastic sheen to your hair. Rejuvenate curls by twisting them around your finger. Rub a small amount of curl definer onto your fingers and mold the curl by winding the hair around your finger. This eliminates frizz, reshapes the curl and adds shine. Always rinse hair your with clean running water to banish shampoo and conditioner from the hair as remaining deposits will make the hair dull

Teen Hair Styles

When children reach their teenage years they start to get a sense of their own style, and may no longer be happy with the haircuts and styles that parents choose. It is usually somewhat of a compromise between the parents and the teen to decide what cut and style is best.

We’ve been seeing more of Katie Holmes lately after she followed in the steps of BFF, Victoria Beckham, and cut off a substantial amount of her hair. I like it! It was a bold move and this hairstyle suits her well. The change fits her new Mom lifestyle, no doubt easier to maintain and it has both a very sweet and alluring look to it
