If you havn't already noticed, this season is all about the matte lip color. Not gloss, lipstick. I will be playing with this a lot this month. I'm in love with how it looks. But at the same time, I have never been a lipstick (or lipgloss for that matter) person. Chapstick. That's what I wear. Well, I am proud to say I made it ALL day with lipstick on! Hooray! :D And, I admit it was super fun! made me feel bright. Perfect way to start the rest of winter. With a nice spring-y lip.
The way to wear matte lip colors is by moisturizing first. So use a soft toothbrush or a soft washcloth with warm water to exfoliate your lips first. Then apply some chapstick (your favorite. I love the Neosporin lip helath), let it sit and soak in for a few minutes. Then you can apply your lipstick and enjoy all day without it being too drying.
