Looking Good And Perfect Make-up

Find your basic makeup accessories to create a Radient - looking complexion and experiment with colors, textures deifferent, cosmetics and to accentuate your features and enhance your face. Improving your appearance will boost your confidence and self esteem.

How to apply makeup

Because of the difficulty in finding the right foundation color, some makeup experts believe that Brown women should use more than one foundation shade, from the merger of two shades together or by applying different shades in different areas of the face (a shade of T-zone and the other on the forehead, cheeks and chin, for example).

Some women prefer to have their custom-blended foundations. In my opinion, it is often very difficult for women to combine the makeup on your own and get a uniform color.

Custom blending, like that offered by companies like Prescriptives, is a huge step forward for women Brown, because you can leave the store a bottle that is made for you.

However, the downside is more expensive. If you have not been able to find a color you want on your own, consult a cosmetics counter or makeup artist for expert advice.

Steps Aplying Makeup - Some Makeup tips

The process of makeup must always start with clean skin.

No need to put makeup on skin that already has makeup on his last day at first, since it will not clog pores and damage, and second because the composition hardens the stain may seem strange and unfavorable in remains of dinner.

So please, do not carry your face over from day to day.

If you have the perfect mouth, then you can follow your own lip line and not use a pencil to line your lips.

Just brush the lipstick (either with a lipstick brush if you use a tubelipstick, or with a wand) on your lips. If you want your upper lip to look more protruding, do this with your highlighter: Notice the cleft, or indentation between lip andupper nose.

Put a clearer basis or a non-marker that reflects light and makes the upper lip as if it is outstanding.

Lipstick adds the finishing touch to your makeup without looking for more. For a perfect result, it takes a steady hand, a little practice, the right tools and knowledge of the technical correction.

A narrow brush is full page, a selection of finely sharpened lip pencils, lip gloss and lipstick (or conventional tube lipstick or the type of cream with a sponge-tip applicator).

If your lipstick is not uniform, then you have a special lip base or balancer - use a lighter in the dark and a dark shadow in the areas of light. These balancers lipstick Fonn is also lower and help maintain the color of the lipstick pure and clear.

It's morning.

You are awake, you're done stretching, take a shower and began to circulate in the course (and then have any color in his face).

You have lived your cleansing routine, ending with the astringent and have gently rubbed moisturizer into the skin. (Remember, this means that the moisturizer on the eyes and around the eyes, and facial moisturizer on your face.)

That done, you're ready for the makeup routine.

As you get used to this routine (and especially since you're reading this) it may seem that it would take forever. Do not be discouraged. It will not.

There are three basic makeup routine morning you can choose, depending on the style of life, your plans for the day and your mood. Both two five-minute routines are simple and require little explanation.

Finale... Makeup Post #28!! What's Next...?

Looong Post. Hope you have the patience to read it all. Haha! Because not only do I post the last makeup post, I post March's theme!

Wow! This is the last post for Makeup Month. I love how these months are just FLYING by!! (although once the summer months get here, time has my permition to slooooow down)

For the last day in makeup month I played with one of my favorite colors- copper. Make sure you tone down the rest of your face when doing this look. Otherwise it can be too much. I started with a nude matte shadow all over my lid (brow to lash line), then I took a light copper and swept it over my lid. Next I used a true copper color and applied it pretty much all the way around my eye.

Make sure you're not tired when trying this look. It'll just add to your tired look. But for a happy day out in the sun I think this is a very fun and different look!

Here is the collage and links for all 28 Makeup Posts...

28. Copper Eyes- You're lookin' at it

So there you have it. ALL 28.

Which was your favorite?

Did you give any of these looks a try?

Are you going to give any a try?

Did you learn something new??

I did. I learned that I need to do the old hollywood look a lot more. I'm pretty sure that's my favorite. I also love the bronze look for summer as well as the orange lip. Now I can add a lot more variety to my makeup routine. :D

For March, I'm going to do something a little different. Here's why-

I HATE March. (SO sorry if that's your birthday month!!) But where I live, it's such a tease! One minute you may THINK it's spring, the next day you wake up to a foot of snow. I just can hardly handle it.

So, for March- every day, I am going to be searching for INSPIRATION. Opening my eyes in the month when I'd usually rather just close them, throw the covers back over my head, and sleep through it. So every day I will be sharing a photo of something that has INSPIRED me to keep going. This means I have to have my camera with me- AT ALL TIMES. You never know when something will truly touch you. As well as a photo, I will be sharing a song that has INSPIRED me. I LOOOOVE music and have so much that I can't get enough of. I want to share it with you.

(PLUS- I'm sick of posting pictures of just me. Bleeeh)

I hope that you enjoyed makeup month and are excited for INSPIRATION month. There's so much beauty in the world around us, even when we may not think so. So I'm challenging myself to get outside of that funk and make March one of my favorite months. :)

Smokey and Bold... Makeup Post #27!

Only 1 makeup post left!!!

Since tonight is the Oscar's and you all probably have fabulous parties to go to I thought I'd do more of a red carpet look. Most of the time you hear people say you can only wear either a smokey eye or a bold lip. Well, I think you can do both. Yep, you heard me right. Of course I don't think I'd do this for a daily makeup routine. But for an event or just any old night out I think this would be perfect.

First start with a nice clean matte face. You don't want to wear a lot of bronzer with this look. Then when you do your eye makeup use your eye shadow as your liner. A bold black liner could take it too far. The eyes are dark, but they're soft. So I started with a nude shadow over my entire lid. Then I used a taupe color and swept it into my crease and down to my lashes. Next I used a chocolate brown that had a purple tint to it and swept it into the outer corners of my eyes and down to line the lower lashes. Finish with mascara. Then apply your favorite lip color (for this look I say stay with the real reds to berry colors. I wouldn't do a pink).

Now go enjoy an oscar party!

Bronze... Makeup Post #26!

Only 2 makeup posts left!!

Today is snowy outside. It's gray and gloomy. Boo. So I decided to warm up my makeup with some bronzer. In the summer this is all I really wear on my skin.

I started with some tinted moisturizer to smooth my complexion. Then using a large makeup brush I applied it onto my cheek bones, nose, chin, and forehead. I like physicians formula's bronzer. Be sure to get a bronzer that's just two to three shades darker than your skin. You don't want to look too dark. I finished off the look with a bronz-y nude gloss.

Pout... Makeup Post #25!

3 Makeup Posts left!!

So another big trend for spring is clear gloss, with a bit of sparkle. It seriously takes your lips from thin and small to pouty. An extra trick to getting extra pouty lips is applying white liner or highlighter into your cupids bow. It'll catch the light and pull your lips up. (I applied extra so you could tell in the picture. You don't have to/ shouldn't need to apply that much.)

Cat Eyes... Makeup Post #24!

I love how we take makeup tips from animals! Seriously. Anyways, today's makeup was inspired by the feline.

To get the cat eye I started with a nude shadow over my entire lid (lash to brow), I then took a chocolate brown shadow and shaded just the outer corner of my eye making sure to extend it to the outside corners of my eye down to underneath my lower lashes. Just that simple step instantly pulled my eyes out and gave them more of that cat shape. I then took a black liner and lined (heavily) from the inside corner of my eye around to the outside corner (winging it slightly) then down to the ridge by my lower lashes. Next I applied a good amount of mascara and finished the look by using a white liner or shadow on the inside corners of my eyes.

I know I look like I'm about to cry in this picture... truth is I was... Not because I was sad or anything. But because it's one of those overcast yet bright days. Where you tear up even though the sun is totally covered... And on days like that, there's no hope for me to take a decent open eye picture... I guess I'm sensitive to light?? I wear sunglasses until it's dark out practically. I'm like a vampire or something... hahaha! Jk jk...

It's a lot of makeup for the eyes so I'm not sure I would do this ever day. But for a night out it would be great!

Did you know there are only 4 days left in Makeup Month?? What the?? How did that happen?

40's and 50's... Makeup Post #23!

I so should have lived in the 40's and 50's and danced with Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly etc. I'd pick an old classic film over a new one ANY day. So, today I decided to mimic the fabulous makeup from the 40's and 50's.

First it's all about the matte face and make sure you've got the rosy cheeks going on. Then I made sure my eyelids were covered with a matte nude. I then used a chocolate brown and swept it over my eyelid. Then I used black eye liner and went in and above (more than a normal day. We're going pinup here) my lash line and winged it on the outisde a touch. It was all about doe eyes back then, so make sure you cover your ridges with white liner. Then finish the eyes off with LOTS of mascara (not spidery of course).

What would a Big Band look be without some red lips? Well, it wouldn't be a Big Band look would it? So, finish off your look with some red lips and people will mistake you with the likes of Judy Garland, Esther Williams, and Ginger Rogers!

Eyes closed like I promised. I know I havn't the past two days. Sorry. Didn't think it was necessary and I was lazy... :(

Did you notice I took pictures outside in the natural light before the sun went down?? Yay! Luckily the sun has been staying up a tad later and I rushed home from work to make sure I could accomplish this. haha!

Nautical-ish... Makeup Post #22!

So, today's look was going to be a nautical color scheme, and it is. Just doesn't look like it. (wish you could see the navy. It just looks black) It actually ended up being a really natural way to wear makeup without looking like you're wearing a lot. Which is always great!

I applied a navy liner inside and just above my top lashes (going to use that often). The ridge on the bottom of your eye can make a huge difference in how you look. When you're tired it'll become more red. The white liner I did in the "Doe Eyed" post a few days ago is a great way to wake up your look. But if you're not into that, try a taupy- peach. It tones down the red and helps open your eyes without being super noticeable if at all! Last I applied a peach lipstick to my lips to finish the look.
I'll be repeating this look for sure.

Yellow... Makeup Post #21!

Yellow shadow was seen all over the Spring runways. Today I thought I'd give it a try. Because it's a lighter color it took a lot more, so don't be afraid when applying it. I also used my finger instead of a brush because it goes on heavier that way. I swept it over my entire lid, into the corners, and under the outside lower lashes.

It'll add a little sunshine to your day!

Lashes... Makeup Post #20

Ever wanted your lashes to look thicker than they really are? Try this- take a soft eyeliner (the crayon kind. Not pencil, liquid, or gel. You have to twist the container to get more liner. That kind. Make sense? Hope so.) and line your eye right in the lash line. Not above the lashes, in the lashes. You can also go a bit above, but don't go too far or it will look like liner and not thick lashes. Then apply lots of mascara. And there you have it! People will think you've got the prettiest lashes around without having to get extensions or deal with eyelash glue!

At the request of my sister, I'm posting a pic of my eyes both shut and open so you can get the full affect. I usually just post one pic because I'm lazy and try to just pick the picture that displays the makeup the best. Plus, I always feel awkward or like a crazy person posting the pics of me just staring... Closed eyes is easier. But for the last 8 days I will make sure to do both. :)

If you missed my last post, then you missed my big hair reveal!

tsk tsk.

Well, I am actually posting more pictures in this post because I think they show off the cut and color better even though I just took them with my phone real quick to send to a few friends and my sister.

So, here is the back of my new hair! Alexa Chung inspired cut and we did the Ombre/ Melting hair color technique. (changes from a darker color at the roots to lighter at the ends. Looks more natural, less maintenance, and overall just a really fun look that I'm LOVING)

and kind of the front. Half the front...

If you want to see better quality pictures (just a little off in the color department) just scroll down to the previous post. Sorry, I'm too lazy to post a link.

I Tell You What... Makeup Post #19!

Before I tell you about my day I must tell you about my makeup. Today I wore an orange lipstick. (aka coral) It is the "IT" color for this season and I LOVE it! Not too red but still enough to finish your look. Try it!

Second, I chopped my hair! AH! 10 inches off the back. Wow. All my life I've been a nervous wreck. I worry about EVERYTHING. It's terrible. Today was no different. Luckily I wasn't a cryer, but I was certainly shaking pretty bad by the time I got to the salon. Once my stylist took off the bulk of the length I was ok. I knew I was making the right choice. And I love it! So, dadadadaaaaaaaa! My new haircut and color!

(Promise this picture looks soooo much better on my computer. If you click on it to make it larger you can see the lipstick and just the overall picture better)

It makes me feel fresh and new, I LOVE the color. She did the "Melting" technique (aka Ombre style) where it's darker on top and fades to a lighter color on the bottom. I wish you could see it better. We stuck with my natural color on top and worked it to lighter on bottom. I seriously suggest you all go out and get this style done. It's lower maintenance, looks SO natural, and it's so pretty!

I also love the cut! It's Alexa Chung inspired and I'm so glad I went with it!

Shows the color a bit better...

After getting my hair done I went with my family and our neighbors to the MONSTER TRUCK JAM! And, I TELL YOU WHAT! It was great! Our neighbors are often invited to the Huntsman suite, so that is where we got to watch it from!

How sweet is this suite?? Haha! It was a blast!

Meet El Toro Loco! (the crazy bull)

And the one and only (and winner)...

Graaaaaaavee Diggeeeeeerrr!

I tell you what, ya'll need ter git yerselves ter a monster truck show!
haha! (heard plenty of that kind of talk tonight)

How was your weekend?

What do you think of my new haircut and color?

Berry... Makeup Post #18!

Only 10 makeup posts left! Wow!

Today I experimented with what is supposed to be a trend this spring. 1st it's the berry lip, 2nd it's LOTS of blush. When I first put on my blush I was sceptical. As I blended it in with my skin I understood it more. The two together make for a very fresh and sweet spring look. I ended up sticking some of that "Doll Face" on my cheekbones as well.

So do this look. Just make sure to blend your blush so it's a smooth transition. I actually just used my hand instead of my blending brush. There you go!

Smokey... Makeup Post #17!

Smokey was the look for today. It's dramatic and makes your eyes really stand out.

I got this look by sweeping a nude shadow all over as normal. Then, I took a taupe-y brown shadow and swept it over my entire lid. I then used a DARK (don't be scared) greyish navy and did the horizontal V in the outside corner. I also used that same color to line my eyes with. Finished it off with a big helping of mascara, and done!

Wear this look somewhere fancy or a night out at the movies. Or honestly, you could probably do it during the day too. Just don't play up your outfit too much.

Dramatic... Makeup Post #16!

Today I wanted to be daring. So, I turned to a dark lipstick instead of smokey eyes. (It's more daring for me) I have pretty small lips, so I'm not sure this is the BEST look for me, because dark colors make things appear smaller, but at the same time I had a lot of fun with it. It made my skin look very white which could be a bad thing, but it actually just made me feel like Snow White.

So next time you're too scared to try a more bold color, don't be. It's fun!

Doe Eyed... Makeup Post #15!

Have you ever wanted to make your eyes appear larger than they really are? Have you ever looked so tired in the morning and couldn't fix it? Well, try this. White. Liner.

Simply line the ridge next to your eye with a white liner or highlighter and done. It makes the ridge the same color as your eye which makes them appear bigger. Also apply a good amount of mascara and if you like to- curl your lashes. It will really open up your eyes.

I just used NYC's white liner. It's cheap, it works well and lasts all day, and it's going to last me a long time.

Happy Valentines Day! Makeup Post #14!

I hope you all have a wonderful significant other to spend today with. But if not (like me. haha!), I hope you find a way to spend the holiday that makes you happy. Whether it's eating your weight in chocolate, pizza, ice cream and watching chick flicks, or treating it like a normal day. Enjoy it. :)

I've always wanted to be able to wear red lipstick, and I know it's cliche... but I figure, if I'm going to start wearing it- it might as well be on Valentines day! Make sure when picking a red lipstick you choose one that doesn't make your teeth look yellow.

This lipstick is from Covergirl's new lipstick line and it's called "Hot Passion"... ya. Haha! Also make sure that you let the rest of your makeup be more on the casual side to balance out the red.

I was unable to take a decent photo tonight... So sorry. It also turned out dark. Grr. I'm still learning.

My dad always gets us girls (no boys in the family. Poor dad) a valentines present. This year he got me this card (turn up your volume... quite a bit. I took it with my phone and was too lazy to go take one with my camera and no background noise.)

Isn't it great??? In case you can't read or hear it, it reads: "Whoever said a good man is hard to find..." (then on the inside) "sure hasn't been to Forks, Washington." It says (sound card): Edward-"I will love you, every moment of forever." Jacob-"I will fight for you, until your heart stops beating". I love my dad for loving us through our Twilight obsessions. Haha!

If you havn't already, check out my previous post (the one right below this one that is titled "Not A Makeup Post"). I WANT... NEED your opinion.

Thanks!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

The Light Of Day... Makeup Post #13!

Wow, the sun is shining and I took the time to take a picture before it went down. Hooray! Now you can see that I really do have white teeth. They always looked yellow in previous posts because of the lack of light.

Today's color is Magenta. Very bright (not neon though) and very pink. A perfect Valentines day look without going with the cliche red.

Now, I'm going to go sit outside and enjoy this beautiful 55 and sunny day. (who knows how long it'll be before we get this again...) I hope the sun is shining where you are!!
