Bridal Makeup Photos and Tips

The most important day in the life of a girl is her wedding day. This is the day when a girl wants to look most beautiful. Makeup play an important role in the beauty of a bride. So, a bride should have a perfect makeup on her wedding day. In actual bridal makeup starts a few days before her wedding. Facials should be done a week before the wedding. Skin, hair and nail care should be done at least 2-3 weeks before the wedding day. Stay away from sun and do not compromise with your sleep. All these steps taken before will give a smooth skin to bride. Because a smooth skin is always required for a smooth and perfect makeup. Bridal makeup tips for wedding day are given below.

Use a good quality of cream foundation and layer it using powder foundation to make the skin more smoother.

Also apply powder foundation on your neck and ears, so that your face couldn’t be look like a painted face.
Based on your skin tone you may choose lip color. You can use some bright lip colors which are orange-red, orange-gold. The warm lip colors are yellowish and orangish browns; mahogany, deep warm reds and chocolate. And some of the deep cool colors blue-reds, magenta, shades of lilac, cool brown, deep purple, plum and pink.
To get a subtle look use air-brush properly and choose some light shades like cream, lime green, gold and brown can be used for warm skin undertones and use lilac, soft pink and plum for cool skin undertones.

Use Neutral colors to look more natural. Don’t use bright and neon colors as they will make your skin ashy.

For a natural look don’t apply any makeup on brows. After putting the shadow primer apply eye color and a natural shadow.

Use two layers of waterproof mascara.

After applying the complete makeup use face powder. This will help in long stay of your makeup.

What I wore: new market goodies!

Howdy all! Hope you had lush weekends? Saturday's market was awesome! I lent a hand at Nadia's Build-A-Brooch stand which was SO PRETTY! I'm sure she'll blog the pics soon. I hadn't had a chance to have a proper browse around the market for a while so it was nice to catch up with everyone, meet some fellow bloggers and have a bit of a shop fest! Here are a few goodies I bagged: Dress and harmonica from The Thrift Collection (Bevan & Pippa always bring the lols and great deals!), books from Hey Cherry (these girls are a hoot), brooch from Moxie Made (love this!) and Macaroons in my belly from Daniela's. I'll show you the few other goodies I got soon. (I know - I went a bit  nuts!) It was a wonderful day and it was so nice to meet some of you for the first time!

Awkward... WMML Post #3!

So I have a feeling this will be one of those "had to be there" moments... But we all laughed really hard. So I'm going to share it.

Tonight after dinner, my family, a couple friends, and I played some games. One of those games was "Apples to Apples". This is one of the few games I like. Anyways, how you play (if you don't know) is there's a card in the middle with a word on it. Everyone has seven cards in their hands and has to pick a card from that seven that best matches the card in the middle. Who's ever turn it is gets to pick their favorite and whoever put that card down wins the card that was in the middle. First one to win seven cards from the middle wins the game.

So, we're playing and its my Grandma's turn to pick her favorite card, the word in the middle was "touchy-feely". She starts reading off the cards and one of them was "my body". Everyone laughed and it seemed like the obvious choice. But then my Grandma chose another card. Everyone was surprised and asked why. She exclaimed "because I don't touch my body!!!".... Uuuuuuuuuh....

That is SO NOT what was meant by the card but that's what my Grandma got out of it! Luckily it was one of those awkwardly hilarious moments instead of just plain ol' awkward. Especially because we had guests!!! Hahaha!

See, told you you had to be there. :) Aren't awkwardly hilarious moments the best?

Short Hairstyles

If you want to wear your hair short, pay close attention to your face shape, build and style of dress before deciding how to cut your hair. Short Pixie hairstyle is best on round and square face shapes because the longer pieces towards the front help to add needed angles to the face. Girls with oval shape face should avoid the short shag. Short bobs hairstyle are so versatile it suits every shape of face. If your face is round, you can go for the longer cut. Below are some short hairstyles pictures to inspire your short hairstyle.

Textured short hairstyles are meant to offer the hair versatility and a great amount of style. The hair is cut in a way that allows the hair to receive a well textured appearance which looks fabulous and sexy. Short hair is definitely not the most popular cuts but short hairstyles do have a lot of perks with the level of care needed and the variety of cute and flirty styles available. The problem with a shorter cut is that women feel a lack of safety because longer hair seems to provide a shield whereas shorter hair opens up the facial area more including any areas we are uncomfortable with. The mature woman however will neither go for the flipped out Short Hairstyles nor the A-line bobbed hairstyle. Instead she looks for a hairstyle for her hair that is conservative but not severe; trendy but not flamboyant; manageable but not plain. The short bob with a high crown and low side is ideal for the mature woman with the long thin face. Short hairstyles pictures above say more than words of its explanation.

Review of IsaDora Hypo-allergenic Mascara

So now it's time for me to do a review of the IsaDora mascara called ''Hypo-allergenic mascara'' that I got in a late christmas present. I had big expectations on this mascara, not because it was expensive, but because of the one I got it from said it was such an amazing mascara. Did it please me like I expected it to do though? I'll tell you what I thought about the mascara in this post...
(This is how the IsaDora Hypo-allergenic mascara looks like on my eyelashes!)

The brush on the other hand is great and it's the perfect size according to me. My eyelashes are quite short and few also, and with this wand it's easier to apply the mascara without leaving any traces around the eye-area from it. I don't think that the amount of mascara that's on the wand is very good though. I think that it's too much mascara on the wand, and according to me, too much mascara on the wand makes it harder to capture every each lash. And with that huge mistake that IsaDora made, I must impair the certificate of the product.

There is actually one thing that I really HATE (I use that word very rarely!) about this mascara. When I tried this mascara for the first 2 weeks (?) I thought it was really good, BUT after like ½ a month or a month the mascara began to get thicker and gobs began to gather in the formula. So you can just try to figure out how hard it was to get a descent result now. Because of that I consider that I really value this mascara as much worser than it was before this happened. My friend also mentioned that hers and her mum's mascara also had began to get thicker and with gobs in it now, so it wasn't just mine who did that. However, considering the cheap price of the product I didn't really think that this mascara would be any better than it actually was...

I give this product:
