First Song From The Hunger Games!
Taylor Swift is pretty good normally (The Civil Wars are a little more up my alley), but she's AMAZING in this song! She needs to do more like this! I think it's safe to say that not only will the movie be perfect, but the music as well!

My Christmas Playlist
Hey guys! I pretty much have the best Christmas playlist ever, and decided it was time to share it. :) haha! Jk. But it is PRETTY awesome. I love the classics- OF COURSE! But I really love finding new Christmas songs. So here is my list of the best NEW Christmas songs. Some are full albums, some are singles, some I only like the one song on the album. You know how it goes.
I also know that this post is kind of a mess, but since a lot of these aren't super well known I couldn't make an online playlist (to my knowledge. you know? help a sista out!), and I wanted you to be able to check out a piece of each one right here, so I decided to post videos from youtube. (except for number 3, because they don't have any videos on youtube.)

1. Mindy Gledhill's "Winter Moon" Album (there's a regular non-puppet version too)
2. The Hotel Cafe Presents Winter Songs (most of the album)
3. The Lower Lights "Come Let Us Adore Him" Album
4. A Fine Frenzie "Oh, Blue Christmas" Album
5. Cold Play "Christmas Lights" Single
6. The Weepies "All That I Want" single
7. Meghan Smith "Wish Upon A Star" Album
8. Enya "And Winter Came" Album
9. She & Him "A Very She & Him Christmas" Album
10. Hue and Hum "Hue & Hum Christmas" (Pst! Hue- Caitlin, blogs over HERE!)
BONUS:
You can download a free track from Hue & Hum by Liking and visiting their Facebook Page! :D
P.S. You only have until Midnight tonight to enter the Dave Owens Music giveaway! Go go go!
P.P.S. something VERY exciting will be happening here tomorrow! So be sure to check back!! Eeep!

Put Your Record On
Last night my family all gathered around as my sister had found a needle to replace the broken one on my parents old record player. It created quite the exciting night for us (we're that exciting...). They pulled out all of the old records that have been sitting in a box in the storage room for years. Memories of my childhood came flooding back as they pulled out all of the old Disney storybook records that I used to listen to. I can still see myself sitting on the floor, flipping through the beautiful vintage storybooks, while listening to beautifully told fairy tales.
Here are only a few of the records in their collection. These are all originals and very old...

look at all the vintage covers! Beautiful, right?!
We all had so much fun and will probably spend our evening doing the very same thing. My sister has already laid claim to everything... Apparently she did years ago. But I'm begging for the storybooks. It's a piece of my childhood that I distinctly remember and would love to share it with my future family.

Mini Road Trip
Last night my sister and I headed south for a campout with some people from our church. I discovered that blueberries make the best road trip food, we made some new friends, watched the Manti Pageant, and overall had a great time. :) What did you do this weekend?
While trying to pick out music for a solo and a duo that I'm choreographing I came across this song that was my go to song last Summer. It's so beautiful. The official video couldn't be shared, so here's one with the english translation and you can see the official video HERE.
I seriously listen to this song on repeat. :)
And guess what! I made it into Pinterest. Yes, I'm finally joining everyone else. I have yet to figure out exactly what to do with it besides just enjoying all the pretty pictures. Tips would be lovely. :) I'll get a button up soon that'll take you to my page and we can be Pinterest friends as well as bloggy friends. yay!
AH! And guess what else! Today is the LAAAST day to enter the Spotted Umbrella Giveaway! HURRY! Go now!

Music... Inspiration Post #23!
So I absolutely LOVE music. Something about being a dance teacher has me searching constantly for new music. My computer (besides just being old) is ridiculously slow because I stuff it full of music. Music has the ability to set or change any mood! It has the ability to express any emotion. Happy, sad, serious, or spiritual.
Here are 3 of my favorite songs as of now... (my favorite for now playlist has enough music to play for 3 days straight... so ya, it was hard picking just a few.) For some reason my blog is cutting off half the video. I'm sorry. At least you can hear it or visit it on youtube.
First is "Something In The Water" by Brooke Fraser. It's so upbeat and different. I love it. Thanks to my sister for introducing me to Brooke Fraser's music.

Second, "Home" by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. This song was recently made even more popular by a dad and his daughter singing it. I posted the original but PLEASE go watch their version and read their story HERE.
Third is a happy little song by Rachel Goodrich called "Light Bulb". I guess she had a contest for the music video and this one won? I actually did laugh out loud at it. So hope you like it. You're really just watching it for the song anyways. :)
I hope you enjoyed those. If not, that's fine. I have other suggestions for you!
The Cave- by Mumford & Sons, or I love the cover by Megan Nicole and Tyler Ward!
Owls- Cocoon
5 Years Time- Noah and the Whale
Rolling In The Deep- Adele
Howl- Florence and the Machine
I could go on and on...
I really enjoy music that makes it feel like Summer. Kind of why they all have a similar sound.
What are some of your favorite songs right now? I can always use more. :) Also, if you didn't see YESTERDAY'S post check it out and tell me what some of your favorite books are so I can check them out too.

Blue Skies... Inspiration Post #1!
Today... Oh today had the most gorgeous blue sky. Will blogger let me upload a picture?? No. Geeze blogger. So, you get a lovely song about blue skies, spring coming, and the positive outlook it gives everyone. I love this song.
I know it won't stay this way (55 degrees today!!! WOW!), in fact it's supposed to storm again tomorrow (BOO!!!). But, to have a day like this gives everyone the boost they need...
A while ago in church our teacher talked about the "winters" of our lives. We all go through such rough times. When it feels like it's just a blizzard everyday and the snow, wind, and cold isn't going anywhere. But then comes a day like today, where the sun is shining, the snow starts to melt, and you can clearly see the end is in sight. So, without those "winters" in our lives, we couldn't truly appreciate the "springs", "summers", or "falls" of our lives. We are truly all blessed so much and we forget that sometimes (or I do a lot). Just remember that "this too shall pass" and it will be for our good. We'll be stronger, wiser, more patient, and compassionate for it. So find the beauty in the "winters" of your life. Know that it will all be for your good.

Hey Soul Sister
Listen to this song. Look at these pictures. Picture yourself riding the cutest bike ever. With a cute dog in the basket. In your best summer outfit. And your in the perfect setting. I'm close to a beach on the cutest street ever with shops and cafe's and it's warm and sunny and my hair is blowing in the wind! Oh how I love summer! This WILL be me in a few months...Hopefully. :)
