Group 1- Whitney and Kaitlyn
"Hi! Our package pal's swap was the beaches of florida meets canada! I have always had an infatuation with Canada so I was excited when I was paired with Kaitlyn. What I didn't know was just how similar our countries were! GEEZ it was hard to come up with things that she didn't have there. Over all, it was a neat experience. -Whitney"

"i wanted to sent my package pal little tidbits that she couldn't find in her own country, and also represent my own country at the same time! since i'm obsessed with art, i wrapped each package in a picture of canadian art and even included little goodies from some of my favourite major canadian galleries. i also included some new treats for her to try such as cherry blasters and canadian smarties! i made some of my own stationery for her and topped it all off with a super special, no longer in print, canadian one dollar bill! -Kaitlyn"

"I'm from the Bluegrass, she's from Orange County, and it couldn't have worked out better. Our packages traveled over 2,000 miles each to reach us! I enjoyed my slice of Orange (literally) and I hoped she liked our Bourbon (BBQ sauce). This project was so fun and Sarah and her family so cute I may just keep sending them stuff. It is the holiday season after all! -Ellie"
Group 3- Kaycie and Reese"Hi! I'm Kaycie from Nevada and my pen pal was Reese from Italy. It was so incredible to talk to someone on a completely different continent! Especially because I've never even left the continental U.S. It was so much fun meeting Reese and I can now say that I have a friend in Italy! I got Reese some candies that she missed from the U.S., made her chalkboard mugs, and gave her an early Christmas soap dispenser. It was a blast to assemble! -Kaycie"

"I sent Kaycie a chocolate bar that I know that they don't have in America and I sent her a cd from an old nineties group as a bit of a spoof cause' she said that was her favourite decade for music. I sent her some make-up that every girl needs and a vintage scarf with a turkey print on it for Thanksgiving. I sent her a native print decal and an illustrative card that had I designed. And I included my favourite non-fiction book on fast food in America. Lastly, I made her a bracelet with green stones which I hope she likes. I was thinking that it would complement her hair and skin-tone. -Reese"

"I sent Nadine a lot of different types of candy, a few being bottle caps and snickers and then halloween stuff/candy. I sent her some Barbie socks too, get it? American Barbie? :) On the outside of her package I glued lots of different pictures from an American scenery calendar so she could get a glimpse of what it's like over here! She sent me lots of yummy chocolate and a cool almost Mamba tasting candy things that would pop in my mouth. They were awesome. She ended up sending me TWO packages to! She is too kind and I still have so much German candy. I am eating slowly as to savor it :) Her first package came to me on my birthday which was the best! She is so sweet! I LOVED package pals! Thanks so much for doing it! It's a great experience getting to know someone across the world and getting to experience a little bit of their culture! -Savannah"
